On the subject of Combustion #2

It occurs to me that some people might like to know what our thought process is for the subject matter in these combustions. Well, now's your chance to hear about it!

Combustion #1, "Flamespitters", is about wonder. To be specific, it's about the sense of wonder we all sometimes feel when gazing upon something amazing. That rare and fleeting moment when you remember that the world is much, much larger than you expected. Along with the sense of wonder comes the weariness of it's absence, when nothing can surprise you anymore, and you feel like the world has lost all its beauty. This combustion is a focus on the delicate balance between these two ideas, wonder and the lack of wonder.

Combustion #2, "I am a blind man", is focused on the idea of "investment". To be more specific, it is focused almost entirely on the lack of investment which is found in almost everyone's lives. Almost everyone has had a moment in their lives where they invested their time, effort, or emotions into something and only received pain or apathy in return. These moments cause us to be more careful with the things we invest in, sometimes causing us to avoid investing in anything altogether. This combustion is a focus on the fear, regret, hope, and sacrifice that comes with a lack of investment.

I'll try to include more on future topics as they come up. Also, for people who might be reading this, if you have any interest in this blog, please feel free to leave a comment or two below. I can't speak for the others, but it would certainly give me incentive to post here more often.
